Born and raised in Marin County, Dr. Rafii brings not only exceptional clinical skill but a heartfelt commitment to giving back to the community that shaped him. With a warm, compassionate approach and expertise in everything from cosmetic dentistry to implants and Invisalign, he’s here to help you achieve your healthiest, happiest smile. I love to find ways to help people smile and that includes building confidence to share their smiles! I am here to answer your questions, plan for appointments, and help you in any way I can. During my 16 years in dentistry, I have become well versed in both the administration side as well as the clinical aspects of care. I am here to guide you through your dental journey and it is my goal to make sure you have a positive experience. In my free time, I love to go on hikes with my husband Felipe and son Nathan and I enjoy cooking for my friends and family. My favorite place to be is on the lake enjoying the sun! My life’s motto is “Today will be a good day”.

I am your Hygiene coordinator greeting you from the reception desk, answering the phone and helping you check out at the end of your appointment. I have been in the dental field for 15 years. I love interacting with our patients and working with the staff here at Dr. Rafii’s office. Everyone is so wonderful, patient, kind, and helpful.
I have lived in Santa Rosa since 1993, married my high school sweetheart Juan and have 3 kids Efrain, Cici, Nayeli. I love to help people and make new friends. I am so grateful to work in a fun and caring environment where I learn something new every day. Outside the office, I enjoy spending time with my family and friends.
Ana Lugo
Receptionist and Hygiene Coordinator
Ana Lugo is the Receptionist and Hygiene Coordinator at Rafii Dental Care, where she plays a key role in ensuring patients have a smooth and welcoming experience from the moment they walk through the door. Born and raised in Santa Rosa, CA, Ana graduated from Roseland Collegiate Prep in 2020 and has remained deeply connected to her hometown and community.
Inspired by her two older sisters who have long worked in the dental field, Ana developed a passion for patient care early on. Their dedication to helping others sparked her interest in dentistry and led her to pursue a similar path. What Ana loves most about her work is the opportunity to make a positive impact on patients’ health and confidence. She finds true fulfillment in helping others feel cared for and supported.
Outside the office, Ana enjoys spending quality time with her close-knit family, which includes her three siblings. In her free time, she loves reading, traveling, and exploring new places—always looking for her next adventure or favorite book.
Cheryl
Registered Dental Hygienist
A Marin County native, Cheryl received her degree in Dental Hygiene from Loyola University in New Orleans, Louisiana. Cheryl has continued to share her vast knowledge of dentistry with her patients since 1993! She is committed to her patients’ care and comfort and she is Laser Certified. Cheryl appreciates seeing the oral health improvements achieved by her patients.
Jaynie
Registered Dental Hygienist
Jaynie graduated from Indiana University Bloomington with a BA in 1997, and Indiana University South Bend Dental Hygiene School in 1999. Prior to joining Dr. Rafii and Dr. Bohan‘s team in 2010, she lived and practiced dental hygiene for ten years in San Francisco before relocating to Novato to raise her family.
In an effort to provide the highest level of care for all of our patients, Jaynie is soft tissue laser certified and regularly takes advanced education courses to keep up on the latest dental techniques and therapies. Her unique and diverse background, thoroughness, and enthusiasm are what make her a special part of our team!
Cristian
Registered Dental Hygienist
Cristian grew up in Marin, where he’s spent his entire life. He attended San Rafael High School before continuing his education at the College of Marin to complete his prerequisite courses. Afterward, he graduated from the Santa Rosa Junior College Dental Hygiene Program in 2024. In his free time, Cristian enjoys traveling and playing soccer with friends.

Registered Dental Assistant
Simone was born in San Francisco and has lived in Novato for over 25 years. She is married and the mother of 3 adult children. Simone enjoys being an RDA, clinical coordinator, and surgical technician here at Drs. Rafii and Bohan‘s office. On her off time, she loves to be at the beach, hiking, running, biking, or with friends.
